Project Overview
The Kapor Foundation is dedicated to fostering a more equitable technology ecosystem by addressing racial inequality, expanding economic opportunities, and leveraging tech to solve critical societal issues. Before partnering with RDG, the foundation lacked a defined visual presence and relied on it’s sister companies to speak for it. My role encompassed strategy, branding, UX, and web design, creating a cohesive identity that reflected the foundation’s mission while ensuring an intuitive and engaging digital experience to showcase their impactful work.

Challenges
One of the key challenges of this year-long project was coordinating collaboration across multiple teams while working across different time zones. Additionally, it was crucial to integrate diverse perspectives—particularly from researchers responsible for the data and findings in the foundation’s publications—into the strategy, design, and development process. Their involvement helped ensure the website was not only visually inclusive but also a true reflection of the foundation’s mission.
